He has studied with distinguished teachers such as Charles Harrison, Clive Driskill Smith, Colin Walsh, Peter Wright, and Paul Jacobs, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and a graduate of the Juilliard School.

Edward began his musical education at the age of seven as a chorister at Lincoln Cathedral under the direction of Colin Walsh. After completing his sixth-form studies at Lincoln Minster School, he held the Organ Scholarship at Canterbury Cathedral before commencing his undergraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

From 2013 to 2016, Edward served as the Director of Music at St. Silas the Martyr in Kentish Town, London, where he significantly developed the music program and established a professional choir. Between 2016 and 2018, he was the Organ Scholar at Southwark Cathedral, and in his final term, he served as the Acting Assistant Director of Music. During this time, he played the famous Lewis organ for daily statutory services and services of national importance, frequently accompanying and conducting the Cathedral Choir.

In October 2018, Edward took up the role of Assistant Master of the Music at St. Dominic’s Priory in Hampstead, a position he held for two years. There, he played the renowned "Father" Henry Willis organ, widely regarded as one of the finest organs in the country.

In September 2020, Edward relocated to New York City to pursue organ studies with Grammy Award-winning organist Paul Jacobs at the Juilliard School. From 2021 to 2022, he served as Assistant Organist at the Church of the Resurrection in New York City and was concurrently an assistant music director at Park Avenue Synagogue.

Since 2024, Edward has worked with the School of Sacred Music in Manhattan as an accompanist and assistant director, accompanying and occasionally conducting the professional SSM Choir in the Liturgies of Vespers and Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York and beyond. Additionally, he currently serves as the Organist at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph in Brooklyn, where he plays the 1915/2015 Möller/Peragallo organ for daily liturgies and curates the Grand Organ Concert series “First Sundays at Four.” He also serves as accompanist and collaborative pianist to the MACC Ensemble, the Cathedral’s resident professional chamber choir.
